pff had cats all 35yrs i lived and nvr had issue with cats drinking not enough theyll drink what they need no use for fancy bowls or fountain bowls

Cats don’t really need to drink so much. As far as we know they originally are from places like in egypt from areas where water is rare. That is also why cats have a very high amount of ammonia in their urin as they absorb liquids more efficient than (as example) we do, as every drop counts from where they stem from. Also cats have quite “fragile” kidneys, so if your cat randomly starts drinking a lot of water, this can be a sign that she might have some problems with her kidneys. (Sorry for my English, as it is not my mother tongue)

One of my cats was generally very anxious and had some troubles here and there, and a tiny fountain like this one was the only way to make her drink.
Some people call it useless, but I was just happy she found something that worked for her.
