Contributing to the world is great. However, I work with people in long term care homes who get so depressed because they feel useless and thrown away. Many of them can still be kind and cherish those near them. Some can’t do that due to dementia of some kind. I wish our culture could value everyone that has life. And dementia patients help us by allowing us to love them, learn patience and compassion from the process.
